Once you convert an email to an Asana task, you can comment in Asana and Dossier automatically sends it to your sender as a regular email. This ability turns Asana into an email program, and allows you to work exclusively in Asana for all communications.
On the Apps > Connect > Settings page, follow the directions.
When commenting in Asana, you have these options:
Don't send email to contacts - comments in Asana are private. Comments are always private in Asana, and no emails are ever sent to senders.
Send email to contacts only if Asana comment has #public at the beginning. If a comment contains the text “#public” or “#reply” all by itself on the first line of an Asana comment, then Dossier sends that comment as an email to senders.
Send email to contacts for every Asana comment. Dossier sends every comment in the Asana task automatically as an email reply to all recipients of the email.
Use option 1 to keep your team’s commentary always private, and option 3 to keep it always public. If you do want to send replies to external senders, such as customers and vendors, we recommend option 2, since you have to explicitly send a reply to senders.
