With Dossier, you can customize the text of the message that Dossier shows to a website visitor when the chat popup appears—the Welcome and Auto-Reply messages. For example, you can change the message that Dossier shows after the visitor starts a chat, such as "We're finding someone to help you. So whom are we chatting with?”
When no one is available, Dossier shows an Unavailable message which you can customize, such as “Sorry, we can't find anyone to chat right now. Your name and email will let us get back to you.” This also lets you capture a lead’s name and email in a chat and get to know your online leads. Dossier then takes a message when no one is available to chat.
When visitors come to your site and begin a chat, usually it is very easy for them to have a conversation with you and never have to identify themselves. Every time a visitor does this, it’s a lost opportunity to convert that visitor into a lead that your sales team can follow up with. Dossier now always asks the user for their name, email address, and company name. While all fields are optional, Dossier asks visitors if they would like to enter this information when a chat starts.
